Project Overview

A major construction project faced the dual challenge of managing noise impacts from diesel-powered generators while maintaining compliance and protecting workers and the nearby community. RVT Group was brought in to deliver a comprehensive noise control solution quickly and effectively.

Challenge

Our construction client required powerful generators to support essential site operations. However, noise output posed risks to both on-site personnel and surrounding neighbourhoods, potentially causing regulatory non-compliance and community disruption.

Solution

After reviewing the site’s requirements and constraints, RVT Group supplied and installed:

• A bespoke sound generator enclosure, designed to fully encapsulate the generator and suppress noise.
• SOUNDEX® sound curtains, expertly tailored to absorb and reduce reflective noise.
• Generator exhaust attenuators, minimising exhaust noise directly at its source.
• A streamlined, engineered installation – quickly deployed with minimal disruption.
• All done with a cheery disposition – the site contact made special mention that our Dylan is a nice guy – and we can confirm – he is!

This integrated system offered an immediate and effective reduction in noise across the worksite.
