RVT Group is Australia's leading expert in managing dust hazard and the quality of air on construction sites. Each site poses its own unique challenges, but RVT Group is here to provide the best solution for construction site hazards of dust.
18th October 2022Working on-site with concrete, bricks, tiles and engineered stone can prove very dangerous to the health of your lungs. Many of them contain Crystalline Silica elements which generate harmful respirable particles, especially during demolition and construction activities.
A study conducted by the NHEWS estimated that 39% of Australians are exposed to airborne hazards that can result in lung diseases such as Asthma, Cancer and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD). It is vitally important to implement an effective dust control system to capture and filter dust particles during construction, demolition and other related operations to prevent these construction site hazards.
Below are some of the projects we worked on where our dust control equipment was supplied to help the client capture and filter dust. This equipment efficiently and effectively extracts dust onsite to lower the risk of lung damage.
This project needed a dust unit to capture dust and filter it during tile-cutting and concrete construction. Additionally, a multi-purpose enclosure was used in conjunction with the Raptor Pro, to attenuate the noise and overall in minimising the construction site hazards.
The area of renovation was very close to a live retail and restaurant environment. In order to avoid distraction and noise pollution, a SOUNDEX Multi Purpose Enclosure was used on the site to assist.
The operation of earthmoving equipment in dusty and poorly ventilated worksites such as tunnels and mines poses a serious risk to machine operators. Efficient dust filtration for that level of low ventilation was needed to minimise exposure to airborne construction site hazards.
HEPA Filtration and Pressurisation systems were fitted to the various machine to pressurise their cabins and help to reduce the entry of dust into the cabins.
Since the Medical Center needed to remain open and operating, a dust control system was a must to prevent the migration of airborne hazards in other areas where staff and patients are.
RVT Group was able to provide the most efficient Using the DUSTEX Raptor Pro which contains a 3-stage HEPA filtration process and 100% reliable filter seal, the project was successfully done without causing discomfort in the area.
