This unit is one of the most effective and best priced units on the market for its size
The Raptor provides an airflow of 1000m3/hr and features three-stage filtration (including HEPA)
This powerful unit is capable of creating a negative pressure in order to reduce dust migration
The Raptor is a self-contained and portable filtration and dust extractor hire unit. Its design allows it to capture and filter dust created from a range of construction tasks, such as drilling and sanding. With airflows of 1,000m3/h, it is the most powerful filtration unit of its size on the market.
Its capture hood should be sited close to the dust-creating activity, to capture airborne dust as it is created. The Raptor is designed to be used with a 400mm capture hood, connected with 3m of 250mm Flexible intake ducting. This enables the unit to be used to create a negative pressure within small working areas, to ensure dust cannot migrate out.
The Raptor incorporates a three-stage filter system. The initial filter is washable, designed to capture the bulk of the heavy dust; this can then be removed and cleaned out as required, to protect the consumable filters. The final HEPA filter makes it suitable for controlling hazardous dust such as respirable crystalline silica. A light on the control panel indicates when the filters need changing. The Raptor is compatible with the Dustex range of temporary enclosures.
Need to increase ventilation?
The Dustex Raptor is a great multi-purpose piece of kit. Although primarily designed for dust control, it can also be used to provide positive or negative pressure ventilation. With airflows of up to 1000m3/h, this unit can provide 4 air changes per hour for a room that is 100m2 (assuming the room height is 2.4m).
