A local timber manufacturer approached RVT Group requiring a heating solution during the winter months. This was to help offset the temperature losses in their timber drying kilns.
The cooler outside temperature affects the internal temperature of the kilns. This slows down the drying times of the timber and impacts the manufacturing processes and lead times of the facility. A portable heating solution was required.
SolutionTwo 50Kw indirect diesel heaters were added to the kiln to provide heating support.
The heaters work by constantly heating large volumes of fresh air, which is then forced into the kiln via ducting. These units constantly cycle the damp and cold air in the structure with fresh warm dry air from outside, thereby achieving regular air changes and raising the overall temperature.
The two units working together have boosted the temperature inside the kiln, a successful result for the manufacturing facility.
